Fiji has recorded 12 new COVID-19 cases, says Health Ministry permanent secretary Dr James Fong. And he called on people to stop entertaining and interacting with neighbours in light of their links to case 140, the woman who presented herself to the Makoi Health Centre on Tuesday.
“Four of our positive patients are her household members, seven are from an adjoining home, and one is a secondary contact,” Dr Fong said.
“However, we know that since a large number of this person’s close contacts have now tested positive, this means that there has been a significant amount of movement and potential for transmission of the virus to others.”
