MORE than one hundred new homes are to be built in one of Scotland’s most deprived areas. Work has now started on 101 council homes in Paisley’s Ferguslie Park on the site of where St Fergus Primary School once stood. It is hoped that the final homes will be completed by the end of next year and new tenants will move on as houses are completed. Many of the new residents will be moved across from the Tannahill area of the Renfrewshire town. Marie McGurk, the head of the council’s housing board, was on the site this week to see the project’s progress.
