Carers Week is an annual campaign celebrated across the country acknowledging and recognising the millions of carers across the UK who look after someone who couldn’t manage without their help. It could be a friend, family member or neighbour who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction could not cope without their support.
A Gloucestershire charity is offering local businesses free carer awareness sessions, to help support employees who are also unpaid working carers in the county.
A PROJECT to support young unpaid carers in Shetland - including those from under-represented sections of the community - has secured more than £130,000 in funding. The money, from the Covid-19 Support Fund via national charity Carers Trust, is coming to Shetland Carers over.
