Growing up in a predominately white community, Sara Ali is a Jordan-American who experienced discrimination throughout her childhood. At age 12, she thought a trip to visit family in Jordan would help her define her identity. Instead it further defined the challenges of multiculturalism. However, comfort can be found in one’s surroundings.
