Mumbai, April 20: UK-based food and organic coffee chain Pret A Manger will on Friday launch its first shop in India in Maker Maxity, Mumbai. The firm last year announced its partnership with Reliance Brands Ltd (RBL).
The maiden store is being launched in Maker Maxity, Mumbai and according to Reliance, this will be the first of many shops set to open later this year.
Started in 1986 in London, Pret A Manger now operates around 550 shops in countries, including the UK, US, Hong Kong, France, Dubai, Switzerland, Brussels, Singapore, and Germany. The chain offers coffee, sandwiches, salads, and wraps freshly made each day.
Billionaire Mukesh Ambani-backed Reliance Brands opened the store in partnership with the British chain in Mumbai on Friday as businesses increasingly bet on the coffee culture among youngsters in a tea-drinking nation.
