Highlight Lee Gi Kwang shared his thoughts about them returning to the music scene in the same period as the other second-generation idol groups like SHINee and 2PM.
The second generation of K-pop started in 2003 until 2011. Highlight, formerly called B2ST or BEAST, debuted back in 2009 with their first single titled Bad Girl. Meanwhile, SHINee and 2PM both debuted in 2008.

On May 3, Highlight made their first comeback in about three years since November 2018 when they dropped their OUTRO album. The four members, namely Doo Joon, Yo Seob, Gi Kwang, and Dong Woon, are now active in the industry after completing their mandatory military service.
