Atyap youths, Fulani herders reach truce
Armed bandits, at the weekend, killed an 80-year-old woman, a ward leader, and three other persons in separate attacks in Chikun and Giwa councils of Kaduna State. x
Three other persons were confirmed injured in an attack on travellers in Giwa.
The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the incidents, said that Governor Nasir el-Rufai implored security agencies to ensure the diligent investigation into the disturbing incidents.
GANG members of the late Terwase Akwaza (alias Gana) attacked Senga village in Katsina-Ala Council at the weekend, killing three farmers.
The gang members, The Guardian gathered, were dressed in military uniforms while carrying out the heinous attack.

For a continued peaceful coexistence in Atyap Chiefdom in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, residents have been called upon not to take the laws into their hands.
They should in all situation, whatsoever, submit all their grievances or crimes to security agencies, mediation, arbitration or via litigation in court.
This was the submission of a communique issued by Atyap and Fulani youth meeting on peaceful coexistence in Atyap Chiefdom following the 2020 incessant attacks on Atyap villages in the area.
The meeting co-chaired by Mr. Suleiman Garba Gora, Makama Atyap and Dr. Abdulmalik Mohammed Durunguwa had in attendance Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Commander Sector 7 Operation Safe Haven, Col. David Nwakonobi, Kafanchan Police Area Commander, ACP Danladi Ibrahim, Ms. Priscilla Ankut, Executive Vice Chairman, Kaduna State Peace Commission.

Fishermen operating around Atlantic Ocean near Bayelsa coastline on Sunday raised the alarm over an oil leakage suspected to be from the Funiwa oilfield operated by Chevron Nigeria (CNL).
The Fishermen mainly indigenes of Koluama in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, reported that they noticed crude on the water near the oil facility while on their usual fishing business.
According to the account given to DAILY POST, by Mr. Tombra Ebitimi, a fisherman from the coastal settlement, “We noticed the incident on Saturday night and subsequently reported same to the community leadership for proper investigation.
He also added that several helicopters have been deployed to the area for assessment as response efforts were yet to commence.
