It has been a challenging year for The Salvation Army in Lewistown.
Red Kettle donations are down by 50%, as the needs for gifts, food and financial assistance increase. Throw in government-mandated restrictions on public gatherings and a snowstorm, and it would be easy to give up and plan for next year.
Yet, the Lewistown Corps has been engaged in a variety of activities in an effort to “Rescue Christmas” for the vulnerable in Mifflin County.
