New Delhi [India], December 20 (ANI): The 51st Director-General level border coordination conference between Border Security Force (India) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will be organised from December 22 to December 26, said an official press release on Sunday.
During this conference, the BSF delegation led by Rakesh Asthana, Director General, BSF will hold talks with the BGB delegation headed by Major General Md Shafeenul Islam, BGBM (BAR), NDC, PSC, Director General, BGB.
The release stated, The aim of the Director-General talks is to discuss border-related issues, and to enable better coordination between both border guarding forces. The conference will focus on addressing and streamlining mechanisms on how to jointly curb various trans-border crimes and timely sharing of information between both border guarding forces. New Delhi, Dec 20 (IANS) Border related issues, better coordination and streamlining of mechanisms on how to jointly curb various trans-border crimes are six key issues in the upcoming Director General (DG) level border coordination conference between Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
Both the border guarding forces will also discuss timely sharing of information with each other during the five-day talks organised from December 22 to 26.
The 51st DG-level talks being organised in Guwahati, will also mention developmental and infrastructure works, joint efforts for effective implementation of Coordinated Border Management Plan (CBMP) and Confidence Building Measures (CBMs).

DHAKA, Dec 19, 2020 (BSS) – The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Day-2020 will be celebrated tomorrow through various programmes at its Pilkhana headquarters and all battalions across the country.
Marking the day, BGB Director General (DG) Major General Md Shafeenul Islam will hoist of BGB’s regimental flags atop BGB headquarters formally at 9am. He will also pay homage to the martyrs of the Liberation War by placing wreaths at the “Simanto Gourab” at the BGB headquarters here at 9.15am.
Later, a special Darbar will be held at 10am while the BGB men will be connected to the Darbar through virtual media from across the country as the global pandemic coronavirus doesn’t allow physical presence at any public gathering.
