A man was arrested in connection with the shooting death of another man in Prineville Sunday. According to info from Prineville Police and the Crook County District Attorney's Office, at 4:35 p.m., Prineville 911 dispatch received a report of a possible gunshot victim. The first law enforcement arriving on scene at Iron Horse Mesa Apartments located at 2252 NE Colleen Road, evaluated Prineville resident Kade Riley Nichol, 27, who was non-breathing and non-responsive, and immediately began life saving measures. Unfortunately, he had succumbed to his injuries. Officers determined Nichol was in fact the victim of a gunshot wound. Within minutes, officers were able to locate and detain the reported shooter, a 29-year-old Prineville resident.
