Ronnie Montejo, chief of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO 7), warned suspected drug personalities that they face the fate of three men who were killed in a gunfight during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Taptap here Thursday if they won’t stop their illegal activities.
Montejo said the operation showed that the relentless campaign against illegal drugs will never waver as he commended that police units involved in the seizure of 10 kilos of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P68 million from three suspects.
“Undang namog pamaligya o gamit anang drogas kay duha ra gyud padulngan ninyo, prisohan o sementeryo (Stop selling or using illegal drugs because you will end up in jail or in cemetery),” warned Montejo.

+ April 23, 2021 THE Cebu City Government has withdrawn its promise to provide legal assistance to the family of Ritchie Nepomuceno, the woman who was gunned down weeks after accusing 11 policemen of rape and extortion.
Cebu City Legal Officer Rey Gealon said Friday, April 23, 2021, that they decided to retract after learning that the killing of Nepomuceno may have been related to illegal drugs.
“The mayor was under the impression that Nepomuceno was a victim of random killing. But police investigation showed that it may have been related to illegal drugs,” Gealon said.

CEBU CITY A police major fears for his safety following the murder here of a 35-year-old woman who filed a string of charges against a group of policemen.
Police Major Alejandro Batobalonos, chief of the Philippine National Police Integrity Monitoring and Enhancement Group-Visayas Field Unit (IMEG-VFU), said he didn’t know what hit him after learning that Ritchie Nepomuceno was gunned down by two motorcycle-riding assailants in Barangay Basak-Pardo around 6 p.m. Monday.
“Sa nahitabo ni Nepomuceno, mura ko’g na blangko unsa akong buhaton kay nibati pud ko’g kabalaka sa akong security (Because of what happened to Nepomuceno, I felt confused. I don’t know what to do because I am also worried over my security),” said Batobalonos.

A couple on Wednesday appeared before the Integrity Monitoring and Enhancement Group (IMEG)-Visayas Field Unit and accused the group of Police Staff Sgt. Celso Colita of “hulidap” (abduction-robbery).
Colita was the team leader of the 10 policemen from the Sawang Calero Police Station who were accused of robbing a woman whom they picked up from her house in Minglanilla, Cebu on suspicion that she was keeping illegal drugs and unlicensed firearms.
Colita was also accused of raping the 35-year-old woman twice in a motel.
Colita’s alleged cohorts were identified as Police Chief Master Sgt. Eric Edgar Emia, Police Corporal Rochelito Mabulay, Police Corporal Emmanuel Martinez, Police Staff Sgt. Joseph Alcoseba, Police Staff Sgt. Michael Rhey Cabizares, Police Corporal Carlo Irizari, Police Corporal Junel Pedroza, Police Corporal John Carl Aceron, and Police Corporal Georny Abrasado.
