That particular postal code contains a percentage of Western University and also stretches along Richmond Street. Data received from the province for the timeline of March 28th to April 3rd, says 28.97% of COVID-19 tests were positive for people living in that N6A postal code. Currently Western is experiencing some outbreaks, with a total of eight active residence outbreaks. The new Ontario data shows that the N6A code surpasses cities like Toronto. In Monday’s Health Unit briefing, London Mayor Ed Holder said discussions are happening to see if this London postal code will be deemed a hotspot. Two new outbreaks at Western University associated residences

  MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ONT. The Middlesex-London Health Unit has declared two new outbreaks at Western University affiliated residences. The outbreaks are at Perth Hall Residence and King s Commons College Western Affiliate Residence. They bring the total number of residences with active outbreaks to eight, in addition to several community outbreaks affiliated with the university. Cases climb again as MLHU reports 126 new COVID-19 cases

  MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ONT. The Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) is reporting 126 new COVID-19 cases, but no new deaths Wednesday. The total marks a return to the weekend s higher case counts after two days of daily totals in the 70s. The previous three days saw a daily average of just over 120 cases. The region now has a total of 7,825 cases, with 948 active, 6,687 resolved and 190 deaths. There are nine confirmed B.1.1.7 variant cases and 466 have screened positive for a variant of concern. The London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) says it is handling nine staff and 27 inpatients positive for COVID-19, with 12 in intensive care, of which seven are from other regions.
