Fairfield Memorial Hospital is excited to announce that General Surgeon, Lauren Williams, M.D. will be joining the Medical Staff of Fairfield Memorial Hospital on a full-time basis starting in August of 2022. Dr. Williams is a native of Fairfield and received her Medical Degree from Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center. She completed her residency in General Surgery at Rush University System for Health in Chicago where she also served as Chief Resident. The annual Wayne County Fair in Fairfield wraps up this weekend. Today's main attractions are the popular demolition derby tonight starting at 7 p.m. Also scheduled today is the 5th annual Wayne County Antique Tractor Show at the fairgrounds, at the north end of the grandstand.
