Public Protector finds Cape Town court did not fail murdered mom, daughter

The killing of Altecia Kortje and her seven-year-old daughter Raynecia in Belhar last year has, however, seen the Public Protector’s office dedicate one of its key projects for the year in their honour – a systemic investigation into the challenges that plague the justice value chain to fight gender-based violence.
