Shortly after the 1835 Christmas holiday celebrating peace and good will toward men, U.S. government officials met with a group of 500 Cherokee leader.
While no decision was made, it appears the U.S. House of Representatives could be close to seating a Cherokee Nation delegate to Congress, perhaps even before the end of 2022.
