Thirty-three years ago tonight on January 20, 1988 Aerosmith played the Pacific Coliseum, touring behind its Vancouver-made comeback album, Permanent Vacation
.
Two weeks earlier the band had released its third single from that LP, the power ballad Angel , which climbed to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100
, and at the time was their highest charting single ever.
