Through episodes from her own career, Gavin Larsen describes the forces that drive a person to study dance; the daily balance that dancers navigate between hardship and joy; and the dancer s continual quest to discover who they are as a person and as an artist.

BELFAST In honor of National Poetry Month, two Local Color artists will exhibit their poems alongside their art during the month of April.
Leslie Moore, poet and printmaker, will show poems with her relief prints of animals. Her recent work features birds and is influenced by Japanese woodblock prints. Her poems and prose have appeared in English Journal, Take Heart, The Maine Review, The Catch, Café Review, Balancing Act 2, Deep Water, Wait: Poems from the Pandemic, and Artword.
Debbie Mitchell, poet and painter, began writing 40 years ago, studying with Jack Grapes and others. Her writing has appeared in truth and lies that press for life, Stone in My Pocket, Onthebus, and others. Mitchell began studying painting in 2009, and her focus has been on oil painting for the last ten years.
