The downtown snowflakes are gone, and the Christmas displays in the Recreation Park are disappearing as New London begins a new year.
Unfortunately, the village unexpectedly lost a longtime business owner, Bob James, Jan. 1. As his obituary in last Tuesday’s T-G indicated, he owned Main Street Computers for many years and also served as the village zoning inspector. He will be missed greatly.
In better news, school is in session and the library is open. New shelving and furniture are being installed in the children’s department, so story times have been put on hold temporarily.
