Prom attire being accepted at Main Street Bartow office Friday
BARTOW Bartow civic leaders and Bartow High School students are hosting their own prom this year and are taking dress, suit and accessory donations all day Friday and Saturday morning for students who can’t afford formal attire.
Those wishing to make a donation can drop it off Friday during business hours at the Main Street Bartow office at 180 South Central Avenue, across from Sweet Magnolia’s Café. Donations will also be accepted Saturday morning, preferably before 10 a.m.
“Some parents can do a $300 or $400 dress, but others can’t,” said Nathan Register, BHS Senior Class president, who organized the event. “Girls and guys can come in and try on dress clothes so they can take those home Saturday.
