St. Martin Parish Sheriff s Office creates Safe Exchange Zone

ST. MARTINVILLE, La. â The St. Martin Parish Sheriff s Office has announced the creation of a Safe Exchange Zone in its parking lot where residents can make secure online purchase transactions or child custody exchanges.
According to Sheriff Becket Breaux, the Safe Exchange Zone is located in the parking lot at the St. Martin Parish Sheriffâs Office Public Safety Complex, 4870 North Main Hwy., at the corner of Cypress Island Extension and North Main Hwy., in St. Martinville.
Breaux says that upon arrival, residents just need to pull into one of the designated spots that are outlined in green and dial the number on the sign before conducting their transaction or exchange.

BREAUX BRIDGE â St. Martin Crime Stoppers on behalf of the Detectives with the St. Martin Parish Sheriffâs Office, is asking for the publicâs assistance in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a late July burglary at a local restaurant.
On July 29, 2020, at approximately 3:30 a.m., two unknown male suspects forced their way into the business of Glendaâs Creole Kitchen in the 3000 block of Main Hwy., in Breaux Bridge, LA. The suspects caused property damage to a window and to other areas inside the restaurant.
At least one of the two suspects was armed with a handgun and both were wearing hoodie type sweaters with masks covering their faces.
