that we ve got the male and the early and we are still waiting on same day? right, so what s happened, one of the things happen here, ali, turnout is so high in kansas today, so unexpectedly high, i can tell you, we are now estimating that the turnout in the primary is gone about the 800,000. it s typical turnout in the primary in kansas is about 450,000. so it s that much higher. so what s happened here is we are what is happening johnson was we had an estimate at the side of the day of what we thought the total vote would be. it just hit that level, there s gonna be. more this is a good example. this is a very good example. but we are still outpacing at the moment where biden got in 2020. this is what i ve been describing in these other counties. what you got here is the early votes, and the mail vote. this is not as good as it s gonna get d arnaud in johnson county. but, johnson county, again if you looked up at the screen, was only 53% biden.

i found a very complicated try to figure out swath of time to do a little bit of research, trying to understand what they actually, man and what it meant for our family and our family values. and we tried to make sure that we were voting correctly for women s rights. it s pretty hard because they make it, they don t make it easy. that s because whoever signed writes it, that way, i think. it was hard, i wish they would use simple language. i understand they have to use language that can be legal. you know? but for me, it was, it s hard to understand. so interesting to see voters there, won a yes vote, one and oh votes, both can fears about the language. do you think that there was enough are wariness going in? do you think it being in the summer was part of the strategy to lose peoples attention? and do you hope that perhaps the results tonight can bring even more people to this moment
has been a big split here in terms of the mail votes, and the same-day votes. meijer was absolutely cleaning up in the mail vote. he won by more than 20 points. gibbs has been winning by double digits with the same day vote. and it looks like especially in kent county, where is grand rapids s, the same day vote has been counted up here kind of late, and has been boosting gibbs, and is now moved ahead by 1500 votes. i m just gonna take a look here, at exactly where kent county stands. this is meyer s base. this is the biggest part of the district, and now peter meijer is about even in that district. meijer needs to be winning cannes county. he needs to be winning it by a couple points. and is the problem is that same day vote for him in kent county has just not been there. it allowed gets to take up and can t as a lot him to take a districtwide. so meijer looks like he s gonna come close, a lot of folks thought he was gonna get wiped out. but it might be tough for meijer to make up that
but you see mike levant, the incumbent, a district of 49th district of california that is going to be very competitive. this november. right now, running in second place here, very distantly, brian marriott. this is was his opponent in the 2020 election. again, what is going to decide which republican emerges here to face 11 in the fall, it s probably gonna be that same day vote. the same day vote tends to be much more republicans in the mail vote. but we do have most of the votes and now, just in that one batch, that mail batch from the 49th district of california. again, when all of the votes are counted here, it s gonna offer us a little bit of a preview, because again, republicans, democrats, run together on the same primary ballot in california. top to advance the general election. we have some numbers from the 49th. we also have some numbers from the 13th district. this is a democratic seat here. an open seat actually because of the incumbents here, drop harder, left to run in a
