there seems to be no doubt no, hesitation, and you jumped into action. so can you explain where did that clarity of thought come from? from there, it was all adrenaline. just my brain was not really thinking, but it was saying get it on camera, because people need to see what is happening. and plus, i would like to hand this footage over to the police and maybe it would help in their investigation. and i mean, looking at the video, it appears that there is quite some distance between you and the police and the gunman and often the camera phones can be deceptive, but in reality, how close were you? could you see the final moments when the police opened fire on the gunman? yes, in the video, when i, and it is hard to site, but when i said that the police officer hit the barrier, it hit the mail van that was driving and then he hit the barrier, and in that moment, the police officer
jumped out of his vehicle and discharged his weapon into the driver s side of the mail van. and in that moment, i believe that is when the shooter was killed. because there was a no more shooting and a silence over there. it is not shown in the video, but s.w.a.t. did show up and they threw a flash grenade in the back of the van, and i assumed they did that to make sure there were no other threats hiding in there. yeah. so, that officer, he was in his vehicle and somebody was driving and he got out, and he was sort of a garden variety police officer and not from some sort of tactical team or wearing the kevlar for example and just a regular cop who drew the sidearm. is that how you saw it? yeah, that is correct. he might have been highway patrol. he was not like, you know, like a s.w.a.t. or anything, but he
[ gunshots ] oh, god, they re shooting right there. oh, he hit the barrier. the cop just hit the agreer. get down, get down. stand still. he s shooting them. he s shooting them. they killed him. there s a shooting. we re watching a shooting happen. he s shooting him up. he hit the barrier. the man who shot that have a video told me how it all unfolded. we had arrived about five minutes before the shooting took place. and there was police everywhere, there was a whole line of people behind the movie theater. there were blocking the roads and people were just walking away from the building. everything looked relatively under control, and then all of a sudden you could hear the popping sounds of gunshots. i turned the camera to towards the movie theater, and you see the cop ramming into the mail
