A special court on Monday rejected a plea of Purvi Mehta, sister of fugitive diamond trader and PNB scam accused Nirav Modi, seeking a direction to the Enforcement Directorate to intervene in bankruptcy proceedings underway against him in US.
A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Friday issued a request to authorities in Singapore seeking details of the bank account of fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi’s brother-in-law Maiank Mehta, an accused in the Punjab National Bank (PNB) scam case.
Justice PD Naik dismissed the appeal filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) challenging the order of special court trying cases under the Prevention Of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) permitting Mehta to travel to HK.
Justice PD Naik asked Mehta to appear on three days while hearing an appeal filed by the CBI against the order of the special court trying cases registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) allowing Mehta to travel back to his residence in Hong Kong (HK).
