MAHOPAC, N.Y. - On Monday, March 29, the VFW Post 5491 in Mahopac, held a ceremony to commemorate National Vietnam War Veterans Day honoring and remember Vietnam vets.

MAHOPAC, N.Y. - The Board of Directors of Tompkins Mahopac Bank has announced that Gerald J. Klein, Jr. will retire as president and CEO of the bank after 26 years of service to the company.
In anticipation of his retirement, Tompkins Mahopac Bank has worked on a succession plan to assure a smooth transition of leadership and has appointed David DeMilia, current senior vice president, to president and CEO. Klein will support the transition process during the first half of the year, retiring mid-year.
Klein joined Tompkins Mahopac Bank in 1995 and was executive vice president and chief lending officer before becoming CEO in January 2007. He currently sits on the board of directors of the bank and is an executive vice president of the bank holding company, Tompkins Financial Corp., and a member of its senior leadership team. MAHOPAC, N.Y. - Harold Gary, a longtime member and former chairman of the Carmel Planning Board passed away on Thursday, Dec. 17. He was 92 years old.
After 33 years, Gary retired from his post on the Planning Board in December 2018.
“No matter what went on throughout a [meeting], Harold was always the smartest person in the room,” said Craig Paeprer, who took Gary’s place as chairman.
