FALMOUTH  Emergency crews responded to multiple crashes on Route 28 Tuesday afternoon as it began to snow. Emergency crews were called at 4:27 p.m. to the area on Route 28 in front of Mahoney s Garden Centers for a crash, Falmouth Deputy fire Chief Scott Thrasher said. The occupants of the vehicles refused medical treatment, and there was moderate damage to the vehicles, he said. The crash had a big impact on traffic, Thrasher said. Emergency crews responded to another crash in the same area at about the same time. No injuries were reported. Thrasher said slippery driving conditions likely played a part in both crashes.
