Journalists stage protest against TRS MLA, demand his arrest

Hyderabad: Journalists held a protest against the misbehaviour of TRS legislator G. Mahipal Reddy with a Dalit journalist.
After being allegedly ill-treated by MLA Mahipal Reddy, the Dalit journalist filed a complaint with Sangareddy police, accusing Mahipal of abusing and threatening him over a phone call on Tuesday.
Media persons expressed their anger by holding placards against the MLA and demanded his arrest. A memorandum was also submitted to the higher police official demanding legislator’s arrest.
Local journalist Kiran said that they would continue their agitation until the MLA get arrested.

Hyderabad: A day after Telangana labour minister Ch. Malla Reddy and his son Bhadra Reddy were booked on the charges of land grabbing; All India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesperson Sravan Dasoju on Wednesday demanded the minister’s dismissal from the state cabinet.
“We demand the chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to immediately dismiss the minister Malla Reddy from the council of ministers”, Sravan said in a press conference.
Malla Reddy along with his son allegedly threatened the aggrieved a woman whose land has been willfully grabbed and fenced by force.

Sangareddy: A case has been registered against TRS Patencheru MLA G Mahipal Reddy on Wednesday for allegedly threatening and abusing a journalist for reporting a news article on the legislator’s alleged land grabbing in Sangareddy district.
Following a complaint from the journalist of a local newspaper, a case was registered under 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) and provisions of the SC/ST(Prevention of Atrocities) Act of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) by the Patencheru police.
