Mahesh Manjrekar granted temporary protection from arrest by Bombay HC in obscenity case - The city police earlier this week lodged an FIR against Manjrekar and others under the Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Mahesh Manjrekar, along with the producers of Marathi film Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha, were seeking quashing of the FIR registered against them. As per the latest update, Bombay HC has asked the police not to take action against the film and the makers.

NCW chief Rekha Sharma has written a letter to the Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, to censor the bold and sexually explicit scenes in the film s trailer. A copy of the letter has also been sent to the chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Prasoon Joshi.
