Chennai, May 5 : Covid patients who are scrambling for beds in hospitals across Chennai are facing problems of no bed availability as there seems to be a mismatch on the actual number of beds available and the number being allotted.
The availability of beds with Oxygen facility in private hospitals is not updated with the portal stopcoronatn.in and people who are looking out for beds are not able to find the beds and the portal has no proper information regarding the number of beds available.

Chennai, April 12 : The death of Congress candidate from Srivilliputhur constituency in Tamil Nadu P.S.W. Madhava Rao and BJP leader from Aruvarakurshi constituency, K. Annamalai testing positive for Covid triggered a debate about the political leaders getting infected while on the campaign trail in the middle of the raging pandemic.
Most of the leaders got infected with the virus following their public interaction without taking much precaution.
K.S. Alagiri, Tamil Nadu state president of the Congress who was infected with the virus, speaking to IANS said, Political leaders cannot do anything, our party workers and functionaries flock towards us and we cannot keep them at a distance citing Covid protocols. But the main culprit, I feel, is the selfie culture as people tend to click selfies

Chennai, March 6 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be contesting in 20 Tamil Nadu assembly seats alongside the Loksabha seat from Kanyakumari where bypolls was necessitated following the death of sitting Member of Parliament H. Vasanthakumar.
The seat-sharing arrangement with the ruling AIADMK party was finalised late Friday.
