Armadale Capital plc has reported that the National Environment Management Council (NEMC) of Tanzania has formally granted approval of the company’s Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the production of natural flake graphite at the Mahenge Graphite Project (Mahenge Liandu) in south-east Tanzania.
The ESIA is the final necessary step in the mining licence application process. Now that it has been approved by the NEMC, it is now being submitted to the Department of Energy and Minerals to complete the mining licence application process.

An important milestone for Armadale as a company as it is a final essential step prior to being able to be granted the full mining licence by the Department of Energy and Minerals.

Black Rock Mining Ltd(ASX: BKT) share price has fallen in late afternoon trade. This comes after the company received news from the Commonwealth Treasurer on the POSCO equity investment. At the time of writing, the graphite developer’s shares are down to 14 cents.

Thus, indicating huge potential for the future. Indeed, demand for graphite has grown considerably and is expected to double in the next decade. This is due to the strong adoption by consumers for batteries in electric vehicles and other emerging applications.
