The deceased were identified as Fasih Khan (19) and Moshin Khan (23), residents of Moosaram Bagh area in the city. The youth while trying to avoid a pothole, lost the balance and fell down. A speeding truck coming from behind crushed them, resulting in their death on the spot. The city in the past saw several accidents with bike riders falling off their vehicles while either trying to avoid potholes or hitting them. Though the municipal authorities claim that they continue to fill potholes, motorists say that many potholes remain unattended for months.

According to police and eye witnesses, Mohammad Khalil, a resident of Rajendranagar has a son Mohammad Ahan (3) and a daughter. Three days ago, the family along with their children went to visit their grandmother to their hometown of Nizamabad. They returned to the city by RTC bus from Nizamabad on Sunday morning. Upon arrival at 2pm, the bus parked at platform number 74.

According to the Afzal Gunj police, the boy has been identified as Mohammed Aahan, resident of Kishan Bagh, got off an RTC bus with his parents and his parents were reportedly busy collecting their luggage as all the passengers got down when bus driver ran over the bus on the child. The driver could not see the boy because he was so close to the front of the bus.
