BHUBANESWAR: A day after the state government announced the cancellation of Class X boards, Class XII students of higher secondary schools here demanded the same for their exams, on Thursday.
School and mass education minister Samir Ranjan Dash advised them to wait till the first week of June for a decision and to focus on their studies till then.
“If Class X students are vulnerable to Covid, are we Covid-proof? Why should we be left in such uncertainty for two months? Is the government sure that the situation will improve by them and an offline exam will be possible? We want the government to cancel the Class XII exam,” said Santosh Kumar Swain, a student of Maharshi College of Natural Law.
