Bombay High Court Allows 2010 Acid Attack Victims To Seek Compensation Despite Lapse Of Limitation Period

The Bombay High Court recently allowed three victims in a 2010 acid attack case to seek compensation beyond the limitation period of three years provided in the Maharashtra Victim Compensation Scheme.

Bombay HC directs Maha govt to pay additional Rs 2 lakh each to 3 acid attack victims

The victims had been paid Rs 3 lakh each earlier. However, the court was informed that the victims had to undergo further surgical treatment and expenses incurred were more than the amount paid.
