In the past few weeks, every Mumbaikar would have received a text update from the four electricity distribution companies (discoms) supplying power to the metropolis about revised tariffs effective 1 April 2023. My analysis shows that all electricity consumers will be paying more for power in the next two years, but there is a difference in the extent of the hike in various categories.
