Mumbai: The sudden increase of COVID-19 cases have once again placed Maharashtra on the top spot. The state which was reporting a sharp decline in the daily coronavirus infections for over a month, on February 15, recorded 3,365 new cases, higher than Kerala’s count of 2,884.

Maharashtra recorded 4,092 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, which took the state's infection tally to 20.6 lakh while 40 deaths pushed the toll to 51,529, the health department said on Sunday.
