patients. Doing it diligently will help prevent thousands running between hospitals
About 94 per cent of the people who test covid
positive in
Bengaluru have opted for home isolation. Most of them do not have
symptoms. If Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike’s (BBMPs) tele-counselling programme was working efficiently, these patients would not be rushing to hospitals in a full-blown panic to get admitted.
Experts say that if
counselling was available to patients with minor symptoms, the pressure on hospitals would reduce and the beds would be available to critically ill patients.

Contractor is yet to resume work despite threat of contract termination by
BBMP chief; original deadline for the
flyover was November 2019
Despite multiple visits by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike’s (BBMPs) top brass, the completion of the four-lane flyover in
Koramangala home to several globally recognised start-ups appears to be a
distant dream.
Motorists, who were fed with the dream of driving across seven junctions between Ejipura and
Kendriya Vidyalaya without any signals, are now forced to drive on the road that is completely disintegrated. The 3-km stretch is full of potholes.

BBMP s Sahaaya 2.0 platform is of no use as complaints get closed without getting attended to
A robust civic complaint redressal system appears to be a pipedream for a majority of Bengalureans, who do not have any political influence in the city. Despite Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike’s (BBMPs) tall claims, a lot of complaints lodged on the ‘Sahaaya 2.0’ platform either gets closed without being attended to or is pushed under the ‘long-term solutions’ category.

BBMP forgets to acquire land, resulting in no progress for the last one year
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike’s (BBMPs) initial enthusiasm to start a project does not last till the work is complete. One such example is the state of
Kundalahalli junction, where the road is half dug to build an
underpass but there is no progress for the last one year. The irony is that the BBMP went ahead with excavating the middle of the road much before acquiring the land required for the project.
