All Africa Conference of Churches Congratulates New African Union Chairperson, President Felix Tshisekedi 11 February 2021
The All Africa Conference Of Churches (AACC) has urged the newly elected chairperson of the African Union (AU), DRC President, Felix Tshisekedi, to make the ending of armed conflicts in the continent as his “topmost priority.”
In a congratulatory message to the newly elected chairperson, the AACC General Secretary, Rev. Dr. Fidon Mwombeki, stated that maintaining and preserving peace remained a topmost priority, and called on the new chairperson to recommit the leadership of the African continent to the full implementation of the Agenda 2063.
Rev. Dr Mwombeki said in his letter that the AACC was concerned by the continued missing of targets set out in Agenda 2063.
