Whitefield and Mahadevapura Police busted two fake call centres on Thursday that were involved in organised cyber fraud. A total of 72 people were arrested and 138 computers were seized. Investigations revealed that the kingpins were based out of Ahmedabad.

A man walking on the side of the road was thrashed by a cyclist and his friends for not giving them way to pass. The walker asked the cyclist to ride on the road as there was space but he insisted on riding on the path.

A female housekeeping member along with five activists of a pro-Kannada organisation has been arrested for extorting Rs 1 lakh from the CEO of a startup in Doddanekundi.
The
Sahana Shekar and
Sushilamma, male activists identified as Devaraj, Shantakumar and Rajanna, along with the prime accused, an elderly woman called
Bhagyamma.
In his complaint to the police, CEO Tejus BU, 31, stated that Bhagyamma joined his firm in September as a housekeeping staff member based on a recommendation of her husband working as a
