Andhra Pradesh: Two killed, 6 injured in chemical factory blast India Published: Thursday, March 11, 2021, 20:54 [IST] Amaravati, Mar 11: Two workers were killed and four others seriously injured in a reactor blast in a bulk drug manufacturing unit near Kakinada city in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. The injured, one of whom was said to be in a critical condition, have been shifted to a private hospital in Kakinada from a government hospital for better treatment, police sources said. The blast occurred around 3.15 pm during routine operations at Tyche Industries located at Sarpavaram village. Deputy Chief Minister (Health) AKK Srinivas, who enquired about the incident, directed the Medical and Health Department officials to ensure better medicare to the injured workers. He extended condolences to the bereaved families.

Holy dip at four Pushkar Ghats on Maha Sivaratri Updated: Updated: Share Article AAA The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) has made elaborate arrangements for Maha Sivaratri that will be celebrated on March 11, allowing devotees to take holy dips in four ghats of the Godavari Markandeya Ghat, Saraswathi, Kotilingala and Pushkar ghats. On Monday, RMC Commissioner Abhishikth Kishore inspected the ghats and security measures apart from deployment of sanitation staff to collect the water to be dumped in the river and the ghats on March 11. Thousands of devotees from across the State are expected to throng the city to take the holy dip in the Godavari before offering prayers to Lord Shiva by the river.
