Nestled in East Feliciana Parish, Ethel s claim to fame is being home to blues singer and musician Jimmy Dotson. They re also one heck of a town to visit. It s a short drive from most of south Louisiana and a fun weekend for those of us in the northwestern part of the state.
So, what does Ethel have that s worth the price of gas right now? They boast the longest zip line in all of Louisiana. Magnolia Adventure Park, a part of the Barn Hill Preserve, just opened in October of 2020 and is already making a name for itself as a destination. In addition to ziplining, you can test your mettle on bridge crossings and climbing towers. As someone who is afraid of heights, I might need to wear an adult diaper to participate!
