Magnetic Hill Zoo finds new ways to fundraise for squirrel monkey enclosure

MONCTON A group of squirrel monkeys at Magnetic Hill Zoo in Moncton, N.B. will soon have more space to monkey around thanks to upcoming renovations. Every one of them has their own personality, said Melanie Prince, a zookeeper at Magnetic Hill Zoo. There s some that are very smart and enjoy puzzle feeders and enjoy trying to figure out new toys and new games. The monkeys home at the zoo will soon undergo renovations, with plans for a new indoor enclosure to be built beside their outdoor habitat. Where they spend their winters is way over on the other side of the zoo so, we have to wait until those temperatures are really, really good until we can bring them to their habitat out here, explained Jill Marvin, the director of Magnetic Hill Zoo.

To Whom It May Concern

To Whom It May Concern Geist Literal Literary Postcard Story Contest To whom it may concern… I write to you from Moncton’s Magnetic Hill Zoo with a miracle. (The “I” in this case not referring to anyone in particular as this letter, and as such, I, the facsimile essence of a correspondent, are just the borderline-inconceivable product of coincidence). That is to say, it’s happened! The captive chimpanzees’ pecking has finally borne fruit. While what you’re reading may appear to be a dispatch penned with sentience, intent and situational awareness, it is nothing of the sort! It is, rather, an eventuality of typewritten chaos. A message utterly absent of intellect. Raindrops on a tin roof singing the national anthem in Morse code.

Magnetic Hill Zoo Wild Lights Selling Out Quickly

(Photo: Magnetic Hill Zoon Facebook page) It was a delayed start to the Wild Lights at the Magnetic Hill Zoo, due to being in the orange level the province’s recovery plan, but once they were unveiled on December 10th people have come out in droves to see them. Director Jill Marvin says they were sold out on the first Friday night, “We’re hoping we’ll be able to continue right up until January 2nd. The only nights we will be closed are December 24th and 25th.” Marvin says tickets must be purchased online.  They go on sale online three days prior to the date you want to go.  But you should purchase them early, because they continue to be sold out leading up to Christmas.
