The December 20 discovery led to Carly Michelle Chambers facing Yeppoon Magistrates Court last Thursday.
There she pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing a weapon.
The court heard police had attended the 37-year-oldâs Todd Avenue residence and saw the air rifle painted in a green camouflage colour.
It was also told Chambers had a previous weapon possession offence in 2018.
Before determining penalty, Magistrate Jason Schubert sought details about Chambersâ SPER (State Penalties Enforcement Registry) debt which was revealed to be more than $9400.
Mr Schubert further noted that Chambersâ last SPER payment was made in March of 2017.
Given those circumstances, Mr Schubert said it was no longer sufficient to issue a fine.

These people pleaded guilty in Yeppoon Magistrates Court last week to drink-driving.
Beau Patrick Mathews, 22, blew almost four times the legal limit when he was caught driving on Yeppoon’s Braithwaite St on December 12.
His blood alcohol reading was 0.180.
Representing himself in court, Mathews, who had a very limited traffic history, told Magistrate Jason Schubert that his decision to drive after being at the pub was “very stupid”.
Mr Schubert fined Mathews $1200 and disqualified him from driving for 12 months.
Scott Healy, 35, appeared in court via video link from custody.
The court heard Healy came to the attention of police on Rockhampton Rd on October 12.

Subscriber only If David John Hill thought he was okay to drive on New Year s Day after 20 bourbons the night before, he was wrong. The 43-year-old was nabbed by police on the Scenic Hwy at Yeppoon at 8.25am. He blew 0.117. Hill pleaded guilty in Yeppoon Magistrates Court last Thursday to drink-driving. The court was told Hill had no offences of a like nature since 2011 but prior to that his traffic history was absolutely appalling including being placed on a suspended jail sentence for drink-driving. Hill told Magistrate Jason Schubert that he was extremely disappointed in himself because he had already cost himself a job by offending.

Subscriber only Two Rockhampton residents faced court last week after the search of a home in Park Avenue uncovered a number of illegal items. Christopher Shane Neal pleaded guilty in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on January 8 to one count of authority required to possess explosives. Rebecca Anne Guy pleaded guilty to one count of possess utensils or pipes that had been used. Police prosecutor Clancy Fox said police executed a search warrant at a home in Park Avenue at 8am on December 6, 2020. Mr Fox said during the search police found two rounds of ammunition. He said Neal told police the rounds belonged to him.
A number of drink and drug-drivers were dealt with in Rockhampton Magistrates Court last week. Christopher Michael Whitley had methamphetamine and marijuana in his system when he was intercepted driving along Clanfield St, Berserker, at 12.40pm on September 15, 2020. Whitley pleaded guilty to the charge in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on January 5. Police prosecutor Sergeant Shaun Janes said Whitley told police he had consumed a quarter of ice that weekend. Whitley addressed Acting Magistrate John Milburn and said he had moved back to Monto to get off meth. He said it had worked for him in the past and he was off the drug for four months before moving to Rockhampton and went downhill when COVID-19 started.
