A Central Queensland man who allegedly threatened to kill his partner has had his bail application refused in court.
The defendant, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, applied for bail in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on January 11.
He was charged with two counts of contravening a domestic violence order.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Darrell Dalton was opposed to bail being granted to the defendant.
The court heard the defendant made a number of alleged threats to the victim on December 26, 2020.
âI am going to stick this paint brush into your head to kill you,â the defendant was quoted as allegedly saying by Magistrate Jason Schubert.

A ROCKHAMPTON prison inmate has appealed to have his sentence reduced.
Numaka Dowling has filed an appeal in the Rockhampton District Court with the Queensland Police Service.
The appeal relates to two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, for which he was charged on March 15, 2020.
Mr Dowling was sentenced in the Yeppoon Magistrates Court on October 29 by Magistrate Jason Schubert.
According to the appeal, for one charge he was given 15 months probation and $500 compensation and for the second charge he was ordered to three months imprisonment with a 15 month suspension and $1000 compensation.
Standard probation as per terms was ordered and convictions recorded.

A YEPPOON man who stabbed his housemate eight times with a kitchen knife for no reason, was jailed in August.
Luke Thomas Stephen Garner, 21, was sentenced in the Supreme Court at Rockhampton after pleading guilty to one count of malicious act with intent.
Garner was discharged on the more serious charge of attempted murder.
The court heard details of last year’s March 9 stabbing incident at Lammermoor which involved 25-year-old victim Dominic Patrick Vidler.
After falling asleep, Mr Vidler was woken by someone stabbing his right shoulder.
He ran out of the room, unable to identify who had attacked him.
