A 29-foot-tall Christmas tree was created with used plastic bottles outside of the Siam Discovery mall in Bangkok, Thailand.
The tree is built out of opaque plastic bottles decorated with cute ears, antennae, or antlers to make them look like aliens. The installation, which was created by Siam Piwat Co. Ltd. and PTT Global Chemical Public Co. Ltd., follows the concept of the mall’s holiday campaign: ‘The Magical Sensation, Discover Extraordinary Gifts from the Universe.’
Creators say people who want to help with the project can drop their used plastic at the Siam Paragon and Siam Discovery malls, along with other department stores in Bangkok. The plastic will reportedly be recycled once the holiday season is over, according to Newsflare.
Siam Piwat, the owner and operator of leading global retail destinations Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery, and a joint-venture partner of ICONSAM and Siam Premium Outlet Bangkok, reaffirms its position as The Visionary Icon, a retail leader creating unprecedented, unique and first-ever experiences at all its retail premises.
