Were talking to the gas station clerk in Brevard County who took down an accused robber. But this isnt any ordinary clerk. No, hes an army veteran who has already seen his fair share of danger. Tiffany teasley joining us live to explain what went down. Reporter the bad guy was in for quite a surprise when the clerk veteran quickly turned the tables sending the suspect running away. This Surveillance Video from the Brevard County Sheriffs Office shows an armed robber pointing a gun at the clerk demanding money. It happened last tuesday here at the b. P. Gas station in mims. He was using a lot of profanity. Just telling me fought money in the bag. Reporter but things didnt go as planned for the robber that is. I kind of went into my training mode. Incentives in place to encourage retirement saving. I tend to think that they are pretty weak in the terms of tax deferrals on tax deductions, in theory you could wind up paying more taxes either virtue of savings. Making that more robust might make sense. A gooding credit is idea, but i also think that more incentives to encourage motivation makes sense. I think there is probably never an area where economists are more divided from up the public than annuities. You should essentially make annuities from all your wealth, almost no individual in the general public will do this willingly. Very few people want to annuitize their 401 k s. If you give them the option of a lump sum, they will take it and walk away. It is just the human nature kind of thing. An annuity turn to from a millionaire and to someone getting 50,000 per year and no one likes it. But something along those lines to encourage default could make sense.
