Reporter a nightmare on new year s eve for families in fitchburg, two men and two young boys were badly hurt in an atv crash on Ashburnham Hill road. Police believe the two vehicles collided with each other around 9 20. It was all right out in the middle of the road and it was really dark. Juli robyn forkey and her friend were driving on that road when they came upon someone bleeding. Then when we got out we saw the atv, another atv, and then the little boy screaming down the hill for somebody to help him. Juli a 32yearold and a 6yearold had to be flown by medical helicopter to umass medical center. The child was in respiratory arrest, the man had suffered a serious leg injury. Looks like it is just moving to the north. We get a front that sneaks in overnight tonight. And that couples with the cold air that is already in place. We start off with snow. Working through the timeline, looks like about midnight to 3 00 a. M. That is when the snow gets going for most places. And in between 5 00 and 7 00 a. M. , it changes over to a wintry mix. Not a lot of snow on the onset. This is really the big concern here. We are talking sleet and freezing rain making for icy conditions on roads. Just in time
