A woman is in extremely critical condition and a man is in stable condition after police say the woman was shot and their vehicle crashed into a Phoenix home on Saturday.
About 3:30 p.m., Phoenix police officers responded to reports of a vehicle crashing into a house near 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Police found a 25-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds. The woman was also injured from the crash, according to police spokesperson Sgt. Maggie Cox.
The woman was transported to a local hospital in extremely critical condition.
The unidentified driver, a man in his 30s, was also injured from the crash. Police suspect he shot the woman, Cox said, and that the shooting occurred before the crash.

PHOENIX - A car crashed into a home in Phoenix and the fire department says a woman inside the vehicle was suffering from a gunshot wound.
At about 3:30 p.m. on April 10, officers responded to a call about a woman being assaulted inside a vehicle that crashed into a house. Officers arrived and located an unresponsive female in the vehicle and witnesses restraining a male suspect from leaving, stated Sgt. Maggie Cox.
The woman, identified as 23-year-old Mikayla Ballesteros, was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced dead.
