Athlete of the Week
Mark asked me to do an athlete of the week. And so I have chosen as my athletes, Maggie Bender, the softball player for the Conrad Choteau softball team and Kyler Cassel for the Shelby golf team.
Maggie Bender had a pretty good week for the Conrad Choteau team who went one and three at the Lewistown tournament. Their one win was an 18 to 12 matchup over Colstrip. I didn t see any statistics for that game, but the statistics I did see in the Huntley Project win over Conrad/Choteau six to two Friday morning, Maggie pitched and struck out 16 Red Devils, but just didn t get enough offensive support there. Meanwhile, Lewistown beat Conrad in 11 to nothing in the second game. And it was just a one hitter there. In Conrad Choteau s loss to Shepherd 16 to 13 Saturday morning.
