Younes abouyaaqoub was the only suspect still on the run, and is thought to have cornered by police in the town of subirats, west of barcelona, while wearing what appeared to be a suicide belt. The 22 year old was suspected of being the driver of the van that ploughed into pedestrians, killing 13 and injuring more than 100, in the las ramblas area. Its believed he may have fled the scene by killing a man and stealing his car. Earlier, Spains El Pais newspaper published cctv images of abouyaaqoub, from the day of the attack, where hes thought to have made his getaway on foot, walking through a local market.
