Surat: Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani on Saturday announced approval for construction of 2 km-long bridge on Mindhola Creek connecting Umbhrat beach in Navsari’s Jalalpore taluka with Abhava village in Surat.
This is expected to boost the development of the Dream City project also housing the Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB) at Khajod, which is already put on fast-track mode for completion in 2021. Rupani, who was in the city to dedicate Rs 500 crore worth of development projects on Saturday, announced that all necessary permissions and paperwork were done for the Rs 217 crore bridge on Mindhola creek of the river by the same name.
