The Bangkok Post reports that there’s been another lese majeste arrest. Police arrested “Pornchai Wimolsupawong, 38, a Mae Hong Hon resident, in front of a condominium building on Rattanathibet Road in Muang district on Wednesday evening…”.

Pornchai was wanted for several alleged offenses: one for an act in front of Maejo police station in Chiang Mai, another for having “spray-painted the fence outside the Royal Thai Police Office on Nov 18 last year, and [another for] allegedly … set[ting] fire to a picture of … the King and other material in front of the Criminal Court on Ratchadapisek Road on March 6…”. A man accused of committing lese majeste in Chiang Mai has been arrested in Nonthaburi.
Police apprehended Pornchai Wimolsupawong, 38, a Mae Hong Hon resident, in front of a condominium building on Rattanathibet Road in Muang district on Wednesday evening, Metropolitan Police Bureau commissioner Pol Lt Gen Pakapong Pongpetra said on Thursday.
Mr Pornchai was wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the Chiang Mai Provincial Court for alleged lese majete and computer crime.
He allegedly committed the offences in front of Maejo police station in Chiang Mai.
The suspect is also alleged to have spray-painted the fence outside the Royal Thai Police Office on Nov 18 last year, and allegedly also set fire to a picture of His Majesty the King and other material in front of the Criminal Court on Ratchadapisek Road on March 6, Pol Lt Gen Pakapong said.
